Working at Department of Family Medicine had been such a massive stepping stone of my career. Prior to this internship my knowledge was not to where it is now, I have learned the theory part of the job inside a classroom but out here it is a different world. It is a world where what I have learned in a classroom cold have not prepared me for the job. It has been an eye opener for me personally to how the real world operates.

During my time I have been fortunate enough to work alongside the Physicians and MA's to help patients. This research has given me a chance to asses and make changes to help patients better their lives. It gave me an opportunity to learn different kinds of data's, program’s, and exposure to what a healthcare facility looks like.

Without going too deep because I want to keep the integrity of a hospital facility, from this experience I plan to take the positives and add more to them plus the negatives as a learning curve and improve on them.

As I have mentioned earlier, what I have learned in a classroom could not prepare me for what I have experienced during my internship. That being said there are courses that I am glad I took because I was not new to some of the things that went during my time. If I have to list this courses my first two would be

  •  Management of Health Services Organization

  •  Medical Group Management

This two courses helped me navigate through some of the ups ans downs during my internship.
